Staten Island is home to a very welcoming and dedicated community that prides itself on being tightly-knit and family-focused. The Staten Island CPI includes the Staten Island Council on Child Abuse and Neglect, a group of more than 25 service providers, agencies, community groups and community residents, all of whom work together to provide family-centered, community-based services.The CPI coalition is also training community members to attend family conferences to support family members, bridge cultural differences and support parents.

Staten Island CPP is Invited to Special Appreciation Luncheon
May 12, 2011
Staten Island Community Partnership Mentors have been invited to Arirang’s Hibachi Steakhouse as an appreciation Luncheon by Principal Linda Hill, of I.S.49 for participating in the Mayor’s Taskforce on truancy Initiative. The Group consists of 8 Mentors from the Community and one MSW student Intern form the CPP partnering agency NY Foundling.

The event will take place on June 10, 2010 from 8:30am-5:00pm at 185-225 Parkhill Avenue. Members of the Community will be able to obtain free Blood pressure, Stress, and Cholesterol Health Screening.

Staten Island Community will be Celebrating Mental Health Awareness Mpnth in Tappen Park in Stapleton on Thursday, May 27, 2010. The event will help promote mental health wellness, in homes, schools, and communities with information and resources about programs!
