Jamaica, Queens is a community rich in energy and culture, with a history of strong community support systems. The Jamaica Community Partnership Initiative began as five separate local organizations who came together to better serve the needs of this dynamic Queens community – it now comprises more than 60 nonprofit agencies working to help local children and families. The Jamaica CPI’s goals include connecting children to child care and Head Start and supporting community-based visits for children in foster care.

Black Family Health Awareness Day
January 19, 2011
he Specialized Services Department of Harlem Dowling-west Side Center for Children and Family Services will be hosting its 3rd Annual Black Family Health Awareness Day Saturday, February 19, 2011 at St. Alban's Church from 11am-3pm. Harlem Dowling and local organizations will provide participants with free health screenings and testing as well as health information.

SHSAT Classes

SHSAT Preparation Classes at South Asian Youth Action July 9th – August 27th , 2010 For 8th and 9th Graders Specialized High Schools Admission Test (SHSAT) is the test used to determine admission to eight Specialized High Schools. Please come learn and prepare for the exams from experienced instructors. Books and practice exams will be provided.
