Elmhurst joined the Community Partnership Initiative to bring together organizations which reflect the neighborhood’s diversity to benefit local residents who need help keeping children safe and healthy. Under the name “Families Building Community,” the Elmhurst CPI is active in providing services that are culturally appropriate to meet the needs of its community members.

Parenting Classes
February 24, 2010
Latin Women in Action, Inc. is organizing its next Parenting classesto commence March 12th,2010. The classes will be bilingual Spanish/English and will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays. The curriculum covers the skills necessary to satisfy ACS or any Court mandate for parenting classes. The course is offered for seven weeks. There is a fee of $10.00 dollars per class. Location: 103-04 39th Avenue, 2nd Floor Corona, NY 11368 but first person must registry next door at 103-06 39th Ave, Ground Floor, Corona, NY 11368. Upon completion participants will receive a certificate outlining the topics covered.
