On behalf of Families building Community, we wanted to let you that SCO Family of Services, The Elmhurst CPP Financial Conduit, is one of the five non-profit organizations selected and is in the running for $500,000 from Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga is partnering with the Robin Hood Foundation to award $1 million to five pre-selected charities that serve disconnected youth in New York City, with a focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth (LGBTQ). With government funding for youth programs targeted for cutbacks, this exciting news couldn’t have come at a better time. But SCO needs your help. The organization with the most votes on Lady Gaga’s Facebook page will get the biggest share of the funds—that’s $500,000.
