Theater Production: Death of a Dream

The Death of a Dream, an innovative, off-Broadway production, premieres on October 23th through November 8th, at The Roy Arias Theater Center on 43rd Street and 8th Avenue. The play offers an intimate look inside the lives of three victims of domestic violence. Written by Nancy Genova, a survivor of domestic violence, The Death of a Dream, was created to build awareness of domestic violence and save lives.

The Death of a Dream is directed by Obie Award Winning Director Frank Perez, producer and award winning director of “El Cano” (Repertorio Español).

The story centers around three women from different lifestyles and professions who become victims of different forms of violence. The Death of a Dream explores why victims stay, how victims justify their perpetrators’ actions and how sometimes victims become perpetrators. The Death of a Dream combines the entertainment with the reflection delivering a message of hope.

During this first season The Death of a Dream will present 12 shows: October 23th (8:00 PM), October 24th (2:00 PM), October 25th (4:00 PM), October 30th (8:00 PM), October 31th (2:00 and 7:00 PM), November 1st (4:00 PM), November 6th (8:00 PM), November 7th (2:00 PM and 7:00 PM) and, November 8th (4:00 PM).
