Rally at City Hall to save Preventive Services

City Council General Welfare Committee Chair Annabel Palma and NYC Public Advocate Bill de Blasio will join advocates, staff, and families to call for restoration of funding for Preventive Services.WE NEED A STRONG SHOW OF SUPPORT FROM THE PREVENTIVE SERVICES COMMUNITY!! PLEASE PLAN TO COME EARLY (11am-11:30 to get through security). Please contact Edith Holzer to tell her that you are coming. Please bring families as well. We need families who can speak about the importance of the services. ALSO: ACT QUICKLY TO CONTACT CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS!!

The attached flyer contains talking points and the amount of funding requested to maintain the Preventive Services system. Also attached is chart showing the cut to slots, which will deny services to families in the communities. 
Contact the Council member in the district served by your program. If you don’t know your representative/s, go to http://www.council.nyc.gov and put in the address of your program.
 
Contact City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and City Council Finance Chair Domenic Recchia (addresses below) and urge them to restore all the cuts to Preventive Services.
Ask families and board members to call, fax, and/or email as well.
