Metropolitan Hospital Center to Offer Flu Shots and Health Screenings as Part of Take Care New York

October 17, 2011
Throughout the month of October, Metropolitan Hospital Center will host community events to provide flu shots and health screenings to the public at little or no cost as part of the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation's Take Care New York campaign. Events will take place every Wednesday at the hospital.

The campaign urges New Yorkers to get vaccinated, get screened and stay healthy. Metropolitan will provide the opportunity for New Yorkers to get flu shots and screenings for diabetes, HIV, asthma, blood pressure, and stroke every. Too many people have life-threatening diseases and don’t know it. And for those who are healthy, preventive care is key to staying that way. Adults and children are welcome.
