Interviewer (Clinical) III, Family and Social Medicine - Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University The Interviewer performs community outreach, providing information on University studies and enrolling patients when appropriate. Additionally, the incumbent will provide referrals to services in the community Responsibilities include: >Performs outreach in the community to inform community members, in culturally relevant language, about research opportunities available at the University. >Outreach may include attendance at community events, visiting local businesses, and/or going door-to-door. >Enrolls interested people in research studies, conducts research volunteer-oriented health survey, and assists in linking participants with other studies throughout the university. >Refers community members to available resources; also provides health education to community members. >Assists in arranging transportation to facilitate study enrollment, perhaps including picking up and accompanying participants to appointments for other studies. >Serves as an advocate for participants and the community. >Provides follow-up with participants by phone regarding study enrollment and satisfaction. >Contacts study coordinators to provide referrals and track patient enrollment. >Assists in building partnerships with community agencies. >Maintains proper documentation and recordkeeping. >Prepares information packets for patients enrolled in study. >Performs other related duties as assigned.

This annual award honors an individual whose voluntary leadership of a program or initiative has had a major impact on improving health care in New York. Candidates’ contributions must be voluntary/unpaid, must be of significant magnitude, and must be identified with a specific health care project or initiative that improves the availability, affordability, or quality of
health care services in New York City, especially services for disadvantaged, uninsured, or underinsured persons.

This national program seeks to provide professionals in health and aging with the experience and skills necessary to make a positive contribution to the development and implementation of health
policies that affect older Americans. The program offers two different tracks: (1) a residential track that includes a nine-to-12-month placement in Washington, DC or at a state agency (as a legislative assistant in Congress, a professional staff member in an executive agency or in a policy organization); and (2) a non-residential track that includes a health policy project and brief placement(s) throughout the year at relevant sites. Core program components focused on career development and professional enrichment are provided for fellows in both tracks.
