About Youth At Risk:
Youth at Risk is an internationally recognized leader in youth empowerment and mentoring, serving youth ages 4 – 25 from underserved New York City communities. We trace our exceptional, documented track record to our use of highly trained staff, a systematically researched and evaluated program model and one-on-one volunteer mentors.
To date, Youth at Risk has served more than 5,500 youth and families and has impacted thousands more through various partnerships. Now, in our 20th year of service, Youth At Risk programs are prevalent in 15 U.S cities, Puerto Rico and Sweden.
Fatherhood Program
Designed to help young fathers, ages 16-25, become materially responsible and emotionally engaged in their children’s lives. Importantly, the program works to create a safe and supportive environment that will enable young fathers to examine their past, shift their internal discourse and create a future in which they are responsible, healthy and goal oriented.
At Youth at Risk, our programs are effective because our young people desperately want a chance - - they want a change. Youth at Risk offers them this chance, gives them the tools they need and creates a community that can support them in living the meaningful and fulfilled lives they deserve.
