This conference aims to link youth to programs and services – especially those young people who are not easily connected by other efforts. Youth will be connected to service providers and be given tools that help them to access youth services. The connections will begin during the conference but will continue thereafter. The conference will focus on education and health. As always, our goal is to connect teens to youth service providers in education, health, personal development, money management, employment, and recreational activities.
This year, six workshops will be offered including Financing for College, Essential High School Graduation Requirements, College and Career Access, Finding a Summer Job (including SYEP registration) and two health related workshops. If you are interested in offering a workshop, please contact Courtney Bennett.
The conference will also feature free HIV/STI testing, exciting performances and give-aways.
The conference is a collaborative between the NYC Mission Society – Minisink Beacon, New Visions for Public Schools, Partnership for Family Health (a program of Public Health Solutions) and other youth serving agencies.
