Free Books & Free Classes For Kids This Summer

June 03, 2011
Free Books from the Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program You know it's summer when the summer reading programs start! Today the Barnes and Noble summer reading program Imagination's Destination starts. This year's Barnes and Noble's summer reading program Imagination's Destination lets kids in grades 1-6 earn a free book after they've read 8 books. Kids read any 8 books and record them in the Reading Journal (available online & attached to this message). Kids then choose a free book from the B&N list when they turn in the completed Journal at any Barnes & Noble store. What a great way to encourage kids to read this summer! Keep your eye out for these other FREE PROGRAMS FOR KIDS this summer: Free Classes for Kids Lowe's Build and Grow Classes for Kids

Lowe’s has classes for kids a few times a month as part of the Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic, held every other Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m., lasting about an hour.  Usually the projects at the Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinics are ones that both boys and girls will enjoy.

On Saturday mornings kids get to take a free building class and build things like wooden toys, birdhouses, picture frames, treasure boxes, and games.  Not only are these classes for kids at Lowe’s completely free, but kids get a free project kit, apron, and goggles as well.  Projects in the past have ranged from wooden toys, birdhouses, games, kaleidoscopes, treasure boxes and more.

To register for a FREE class at Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinics, visit the Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinics website and view the next two clinics that are coming up. More Free Books for Kids
