1st Annual Fathers 4 Progress event that happens to be a BBQ in Crotona Park. This year we have been asked to join Include Ed Early Head Start in a bike-a-thon and march before the BBQ.
Planning for this event is in collaboration with BronxNet's Dare2Dream television program. We have entered into a 10-month partnership with them to chronicle our efforts to establish and maintain a viable fatherhood/male involvement program in the Bronx showing our challenges and successes as we travel the journey.
We have applied to become an affiliate of the Fathers and Families Coalition of America and will be hosting the CEO, James Rodriguez during his visit to facilitate a National Town Hall Meeting, June 8.
In such a short time we have developed partnerships with valuable resources including: Jumpstart, NY Life who will be providing various financial planning training for fathers and others, National Urban League and its Jobs Rebuild America - Putting America Back to Work initiative as well as Dare2Dream.
We are providing the June 11 flyers to be circulated.
