To continue with the theme of nutrition and healthy cooking, Jannie Wolff from Cornell University Cooperative Extension Health and Nutrition Program , “Making the Most of Food”, will be present at next month’s Circle of Support meeting, which is scheduled for Monday, May 10, from 6 to 8pm. She will be presenting an interactive learning station on the impact of sugar in drinks, which can open a dialogue about reading labels and making healthier choices in our foods and beverages.
We plan to make this a joint foster parent support group meeting and foster parent recruitment event. Foster parents who attend are encouraged to invite a family member or friend to the meeting, since the best referrals for prospective foster parents are often from other foster parents.
Special thanks to University Settlement’s Older Adults program, who lends the space to the Lower East Side CPP every month for these Circle of Support meetings.
