CCENY Community Rep Pre-Orientation - June 22

Help the Families of East New York BECOME A COMMUNITY REP Community Coalition of East New York As a Community Rep, you will: Provide support and resources to the family during family team conferences. Clarify the goals and safety plan to the family in the conferences. Ensure the safety of the child is the main goal of the service plan.

A Community Rep can be a community resident, a retired foster or adoptive parent, or a parent advocate who is willing to be supportive of and helpful to families as they create safety plans for their children. You will need to have State Central Register (SCR) clearance (facilitated by the Administration for Children’s Services) and attend training on being a Community Rep.
