Career Exploration and Job Readiness Training for summer- 2010 for youth

150 young people (ages 16-21 who are in High School, GED or College) will participate in career exploration and job readiness for four months. At the end of four months, 40-45 work eligible young people, will be selected to participate in a Gap Inc. internship with Gap and Old Navy. Program begins February 2010

The selected 40 young people will receive a Gap Inc. paid internship for 4 months with Gap Inc. brand stores. 1 full year of follow up services at the end of the internship period. Internship selections will be based on evaluation of performance, time and attendance, and interviews. Weekly sessions include: Career and Life Skills workshops Gap Supplement Support services as neededLegal,*Academic Support/ College Prep, Legal, Counseling, Adolescent Health Clinic
