Assistance for HIV/AIDS families

October 14, 2011
The New York Council on Adoptable Children works with HIV/AID families and provides individual and family counseling as well as permanency planning. The criteria is for the caregivers to be HIV/AID and have minor children in the home. They help identify potential guardians for the children to prevent foster care by doing a designation or standby guardianship

. They work with the client doing counseling and would provide concrete needs (school supplies, clothing, and food).
Attached are the flyers and the referral form. They need proof of the client’s illness such as an m11Q, lab results or a letter from the physician
