2011 NY Mets Community Ticketing Program

April 22, 2011
The New York Mets would like to extend an invitation for your constituents’, non-profit partners, and community based organizations to attend a New York Mets home game in May. Attached is an application that you can fill out and return to me. I simply ask that you offer these tickets to individuals/groups that CAN & WILL USE THEM. If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact me. Dear Community Partner: Major League Baseball created The Commissioner’s Community Initiative program to support youth-related charitable causes and fans who serve others. Through this program, up to one and a half million tickets will be donated to deserving fans this season. Each of the 30 MLB Clubs, including The New York Mets, has been asked to distribute the tickets to deserving local organizations, and we are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as one of the fortunate recipients of complimentary tickets to a 2011 Mets home game at Citi Field. Since the game’s inception, Baseball has been heavily involved in all aspects of community service, encouraging others to get involved through leading by example. Through the Commissioner’s Community Initiative, Major League Baseball is taking the opportunity to reward those who are dedicated to public service, such as active and retired servicemen and servicewomen, fire fighters and teachers, in addition to those who normally would not have an opportunity to attend a game. We look forward to seeing you at the ballpark as we join Major League Baseball in welcoming you to a Mets game!
